Basic Budapest City Tour

Visit the most beautiful sights of the capital. Get an overview of the city, take a look at the most beautiful and imposing buildings of Budapest during the city tour. You are going to visit both parts; Buda (the hilly) and Pest (the flat side).

At Pest we show you monumental buildings of the 19th century such as the Central Market Hall, East Station, Embassy District, the Great Synagogue, take you to the giant Stadium and to Heroes' Square where you can see the statues of the most important heroes of Hungarian history; in the amusement quarter we show you the Zoo, Széchenyi Spa, Vajdahunyad Castle, City Circus and the famous Amusement Park. On the nicest promenade of Budapest (Andrássy Avenue), beside many famous buildings there is the State Opera House and former villas of noble families. Continuing the tour we reach the city centre, pass by the largest roman-catholic church, St. Stephen’s Basilica. The next building to see is the House of Parliament which is the largest and nicest building in Hungary, situated on the bank of the River Danube.

Then we cross the Danube to reach the other side of the city, the hilly Buda. Here we visit the Castle District - Matthias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion and the old town with medieval houses. Finally we take you to Gellért hill to show you a breathtaking view from the panoramic terrace. Next to it stands the Citadel, a former military fortress built in the middle of the 19th century used now as a touristic center with a hotel, cafés, exhibitions, casino, disco etc. Furthermore we show you the Statue of Liberty, a giant female figure representing the freedom and independence of Hungary.

During Budapest city tour we will have three stops at: Heroes' Square, Castle District and at Gellért hill.
